TMK Wanaume Family is a Tanzanian music group and collective founded by former Tanzanian solo artists. The artists joined together in 2003 with the aim of reducing the dominating problem of poverty and unemployment among Tanzanian youth through the arts of performance, music and lyrics.TMK wish to get opportunities to perform in different parts of the world and collect inspiration and experience in return.
In November 2006 TMK Wanaume Family split into two groups due to different understandings of management. This motivated the formation of TMK Wanaume Halisi which now consists of 13 artists under the leadership of Juma Nature and production manager Hassan Isaac. TMK Wanaume Halisi also includes non-artist members who works with TMK in one way of the other.
